I had never been the sporting type. My idea of physical activity was shopping for hours on end and here I was – entering in fun runs, kayaking on the Pioneer River and perhaps my biggest accomplishment, sailing the high seas from Brisbane to Sydney.
Before I met Ben I’d never really heard of ‘kettle bells’, lunges where a frightening thought and I couldn’t hold a plank for longer than 5 seconds. Now I can complete all these things with ease, and I love it!!
Ben’s persistence and encouragement got me to where I am today – 20kgs lighter and loving life. He really believes in you. If you ever say that you can’t do something, Ben’s response is always ‘yes, you can’ or my favorite ‘just try’ and each time I listened to him I found that he was right. Without his patience and support I would not have achieved the goals I set for myself.
Ben also makes exercise fun. It’s not just gym work. Ben’s program will see you playing basketball, boxing on the beach, enjoying circuit classes on the River and dragging a tyre full of weights across this grass at the Botanical Gardens (yes, he really made me do this!) It’s fun, it’s challenging and it’s a great workout! For those that haven’t considered PT sessions my advice would be to give a go – you might surprise yourself at how much fun you can have.
I’m amazed at how much energy I have now and how much more incentive I have to be active and maintain a healthy life style.
